Welcome to my personal blog: home of crafty, arty stuff I make and like and adventures in my camper van

I’m Rachel, I’m originally from West London (but also am a rather proud honourary Essex girl) and I currently live in Reading in the UK. 

I live with my very tall and very gorgeous boyfriend, who is commonly known round these parts as ‘the Aussie’. *Aussie fact: He is an Australian National even though he was born 10500 miles away from the land down under.* We don't have any children but are not adverse to the concept. Our family consists of us, three cats and a rat called Bear.
My favourite things are probably (and in no particular order): the natural world and spending time outside, I especially love the sea. I adore music and take my mp3 player every where, I love gigs and discovering new music. I particularly love to dance, even though I have zero rhythm. I am fascinated by people and places and how they interact. I love travelling and seeing new places, I especially love architecture. I like long train journeys and just looking out the window. I love my family and my friends and spending time with them. I love art of all kinds, I especially love photography. Plastic cameras are my friends. I like all sorts of crafts, I like making things, I especially like painting things. I like fabulous vegetarian food. I like proper pints in proper pubs and pickled eggs. I like politics, though I try to keep that off the blog. And if you follow me on Twitter you’ll have seen that sometimes, just sometimes, I love Fulham Football Club.

I am currently a 'mature' student. I am at University (the Open University) studying Earth Science and International Development. You can read my 'grown up blog' here

  2. I am a natural brunette though I did go through a rather ill-advised bottle blonde phase in my twenties. I still blame Debbie Harry.
  3. I hate celery. I can't even touch it or smell it.
  4. I was one of only 23 fans that went all the way to Russia to see Fulham play Amkar Perm. Really. Have a look here
