The World Beach Project

Bradwell-on-Sea, on a remote peninsula, on the Essex coast, is a wonderfully evocative place. A flat marshy landscape stretches in to the greyness of the North Sea, the coastline studded with ancient monuments and monuments to the nuclear age.


The chapel of St Peters on the Wall has stood on this spot since 654AD (and is built on the foundations of a roman fort). Whilst I am not a religious person, I am never failed to be moved by its ancient beautiful simplicity.

The World Beach Project is a global art project run by the V&A



We decided to join the project in a spot near St Peter's...





Our finished artwork is now on the V&A website, a very proud moment.
